Cat was a great friend and great person. He made those around him better and was always there to help no matter what or crack a joke. I spent many years on the road traveling and working with him and consider that a blessing for me. We will miss you, Cat man.
My heart goes out to Tom Kitty's family. We all grew up together. Sitting around old stove at the store, eating nabs, chips and drinking Pepsi, Coke, Nehi orange and RC cola. Tom Kitty will missed by all who knew him. Prayers Margaret Sheads Be all.
Tom Cat, you have been in our family as long as I can remember. You have been a great friend to dad. I wish you and him could have had more hunting stories to share together. I’ve known Tom Kitty since the 50s. My Dad and Tom Kitty’s mother were first cousins on the Cloud side. Tom Kitty’s parents purchased the home and store at Estes from my Grandfather Utz and my first memory of him is working behind the store counter. Because Tom Kitty knew I cherished family history and photos, he was always so kind to share with me anything he thought I may be interested in. In 2001, he even invited me to bring my Grandmother Utz along with my mother and her sisters to visit and tour the homeplace. They had not been back inside the home since Granddaddy sold back in 1954 as I recall. It was one of the many memories I will cherish.
