James & Margaret Williams' Obituary
James F. Williams died peacefully on September 13, 2017 at his home in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was 94 years old.
He was the second child of John and Eleanor Williams, born on March 17, 1923 in Paterson, New Jersey.
James served his country in World War II in the US Army with the Fourth Division, 8th Inf. Regt. In Europe. He was involved in the invasions of D-Day, Sainte Mere Eglise Montebourge, Cheroug and St. Lo. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.
James married Margaret A. McAteer in 1946, who preceded him in death in 2013 after 67 years of marriage.
James was an electrician, a retired member of Local 363 in New City, N.Y.
He is survived by five children, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his brother, Evan; and sister, Geraldine.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Arlington National Cemetery.

Margaret A. Williams passed away on June 22, 2013 at the Culpeper Baptist Home in Culpeper, VA at the age of 89.
She was born on April 15, 1924 to Joseph and Margaret McAteer, the seventh of 10 children in Manhattan, N.Y.
Margaret married James Francis Williams on May 18, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed making draperies, slipcovers and clothes for her family.
Margaret predeceased her husband, James, and he and all of her siblings are now deceased. She is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Arlington National Cemetery.
