James Makrinikolas' Obituary
James Makrinikolas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was born in Greece, and lived in Montross, Virginia. James built a beautiful life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nickie; his daughters, Christina Cidoni (Thomas), Kathryn Stockton (Brian), and Melanie Dunnigan (Nicholas); and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Cidoni, Vincent Cidoni (fiancée Anna Stafford), Andrew Stockton (Kimberly), Kyle Stockton (Daniyelle), Daniel Stockton, Sean Stockton, Austin Dunnigan (Tori), Amber Dunnigan, and Alex Dunnigan. James was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Troy, Riley, Arabella, and Cooper who brought him endless joy.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Makrinikolas.
James will be remembered for his strong spirit, his deep love for his family, and his Greek heritage, which he cherished and shared with all.
The family will receive friends to honor his memory from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 12326 Spotswood Furnace Road, Fredericksburg. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
James’ legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
