James "Jimmy" Lee Dunford's Obituary
James “Jimmy” Lee Dunford, a lifelong resident of Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the age of 56.
Jimmy was born in Fairfax, Virginia on August 27, 1967 to Barbara Dunford. He was raised in the nearby town of Herndon, Virginia.
He had a lifelong passion for carpentry, dedicating countless hours to his craft, building houses and overall being an avid “fixer-upper.”
Family & friends of Jimmy recall countless memories of how enthusiastic he was about music. He could often be found singing loudly and playing the air-drums. Jimmy’s smile is fondly remembered by many as it could light up an entire room in an instant.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Dunford of Beaverdam; his brother, Keith Dunford Sr. of Midlothian; seven children, James Dunford Jr. of Sterling, Kristin (Adam) Daley of Ashburn, Brittanie (Gary) Simmons of Manassas, William Wyatt of Ashburn, Lacey Marie-Dunford of Sterling, Ashley Dunford of Ashburn, and James C. Dunford of Ashburn; as well as 13 grandchildren.
