James "Jim" Louis Stewart Sr.'s Obituary
James “Jim” Louis Stewart Sr., 54, of Fraser, MI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
He was born on May 31, 1965 to Stanley and Sharleen Stewart. Jim spent most of his life in Virginia raising his family, and recently moved back to Michigan to spend time with his dad and sisters.
Jim had a huge heart, loved all his family and friends, and never met anyone he didn’t get along with. He was kind, thoughtful, and always knew how to brighten a room. Jim was very generous and loved to make others laugh. His ability to make you feel welcome was truly special. Jim had a great sense of humor, was a hell of a cook, and a fine guitar player. He was very intelligent and had an amazing memory. He was an outstanding golfer and really enjoyed beating his dad at golf. Jim was a devoted Redskins fan, but had a love for his hometown Detroit teams as well.
Jim was a great father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many. He is survived by his two sons, James Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Ashly, and Scotty Stewart; his father, Stan Stewart, and his wife, Theresa; his four sisters, Joanna Ryan, and her husband, Neil, Jackie Stewart, Nicole Stewart-Dimas, and Jayna Stewart; two grandsons, Landon and Oliver; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Sharleen, and his beloved dog, Blue.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Everyone is invited to the family home after the service for a reception.
