Jim, where are you? You have done so much for me, i cannot list all. You deeds for me will last foreve, way past my lifetime. I cannot get your advice anymore. I will miss your voice.
Our friendship started on the tennis courts in HS, with our paths crossing on the courts during summer break where many of us would catch up to play. Losing track after HS, we reconnected when we both ended up in Virginia. Over the years since then, before and after transplant, we would catch up in person when we could and often through text after he moved to Larryville. I enjoyed coming to his studio and seeing what he was up to along with attending gallery openings and shows. I too, like many of his friends was gifted with many special items of a quirky nature, which always included a story. I feel honored to have been his friend.

I am forever grateful that my brother reached out to me a few years ago in the most beautiful way - with a painting he sent on my (our) birthday. Since then we have been in touch many times, mainly through emails that are precious to me. Jim wasn’t just talented with a brush, but with words, and I told him many times how much I loved his humor. Since we share the same birthday (not the year) I will always celebrate him together with me. I’m devastated that he’s gone.
