James Andrew Jenkins, Jr.'s Obituary
James Andrew Jenkins, Jr., 89, of Culpeper, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Charlottesville, VA. He was born July 21, 1932 in Madison, VA to the late James and Hattie Jenkins.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a faithful member of Stevensburg Baptist Church. James loved woodworking and making Christmas ornaments for his family. He also enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Jane Walton Jenkins; three sons, David Michael Jenkins (Susan), Mark Andrew Jenkins (Tara), and Steven Timothy Jenkins (Sarah); one sister, Nancy Dwyer; and seven grandchildren, Benjamin Andrew Jenkins, Elizabeth Anne Jenkins, Megan Claire Aylor (Jordan); Mikayla Jane Jenkins; Morgan Leigh Jenkins, Daniel Alexander Jenkins, and Nathan James Jenkins.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Stevensburg Baptist Church, 19393 York Rd, Stevensburg, VA 22741 with Rev. Phillip Walker officiating. Interment will follow immediately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James’ name to the Stevensburg Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
