James Mitchell Hitt's Obituary
James Mitchell Hitt, 64 or Culpeper passed away after a fight with Cancer on Saturday, February 20, 2016 while temporarily residing at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. James was born on June 25, 1951 in Albemarle County, Virginia to the late Arthur H. Hitt and the late Janie Dodson Hitt.
James was a welder most of his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and playing the guitar as well as spending time with family and friends.
James is survived by his beloved companion Antonia Hernandez-Galvan, his two siblings; twin sister Judy K. Hitt Green and her husband Kenneth of Culpeper, Virginia and his sister Tacy Carol Hitt of Culpeper, four nieces; Lori Doll of Manassas, Melinda Bushey of Fredericksburg, Melissa Hoffman of Reva, Virginia and Kristy Hedrick of Statesville, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents James is preceded in death by his two brothers Gene Hitt and Mack Hitt, Jr., two sisters Jane Hitt Sandoval and Linda Hitt Lanier and a niece Ericka Braden.
A funeral service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Jacqueline Lidie speaking. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held privately at a later date.
