James Robert Hicks' Obituary
James Robert Hicks, 64 of Caroline County, died at his home Sunday, October 28, 2012.
James served in the US ARMY during the Vietnam conflict and worked as a residential painter.
James is survived by a son, Jeffrey Hicks and his wife Missy, of Woodford; three daughters, Donna Hicks of King George, Joanne Hicks and Wanda Hicks both of Winchester; three sisters, Gloria Seay of Spotsylvania, Joyce Granbacka of Michigan and Janet Bell of King George; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Violet Hicks; his brother, Danny Ray Hicks and a sister, Deloris Rollins.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, VA. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in James’ name to the American Diabetes Association, Rappahannock Chapter PO Box 1385 Fredericksburg, VA 22402.
