James Robert Dodson's Obituary
James Robert Dodson, 63, of Narrows, VA passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
James was born to Richard Hezekiah and Rhoda Frances Jenkins Dodson in Culpeper, VA on January 8, 1954. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. James was well loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
He is survived by daughter, Emily Kaye Dodson of Jeffersonton; son, Stuart Ashby Dodson and wife Melissa of Narrows; grandchildren, Zachary S.J. Diffenderfer, Savannah M. Dodson, Stuart M.S. Dodson, Sofia G.E. Dodson; and his siblings Mary Huntt, Alice Reed and husband Ben, and Gertrude Fant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elizabeth Marshall; and two brothers, Richard Lewis Dodson and John Willis Dodson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help with memorial expenses. Contributions can be sent to immediate family or directly to Found & Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
