James Alvin Compton's Obituary
James Alvin Compton, 90, of Rixeyville passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1924 in Rixeyville to the late James and Ethel Yancey Compton.
He is survived by three children, Billy Compton and his wife, Ann, Paul Compton and his wife, Phoebe and Donna C. Hitt and her husband, Robert, all of Rixeyville; four grandchildren, Marie Cordy and her husband, Jesse of Culpeper, Trena James and her husband, Mike of Culpeper, Paul Compton, II and his wife, Danielle of Rixeyville and Kelly Bailey and her husband, Mike of Rixeyville; one step grandson, Jimmy Kovi of Culpeper; and one sister, Hazel Broyles and her husband, James of Culpeper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Laura Anna Compton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
