James Harrison Clay's Obituary
James Harrison Clay, Sr., 62, of Culpeper, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Culpeper Regional Hospital. James was born June 19, 1951 in Danville, VA to the late Andy Byrd Clay, Sr. and the late Hazel Irene Roope Clay.
James enjoyed his time visiting “Charlestown” and was an avid Redskins fan.
James is survived by his four sons; James Clay, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Culpeper, Andrew Clay and his wife Melissa of Locust Grove, Michael Clay and his wife Ashley also of Locust Grove and Daniel Clay of Culpeper. He is also survived by his eight loving grandchildren and his four surviving siblings; Edna Ziegler of Waynesboro, Pa., Linda Hudson of Ruckersville, Hazel Goode of Culpeper and Frances Leake of Aroda.
In addition to his parents James is preceded in death by his wife, Karol Clay and one sibling, Andy Clay, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, with the Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow at the Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and the VFW Post 2524.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper is serving the family.
