James Acors' Obituary
James Bernard Acors, 84, of the U.S. Soilders' and Airmen's Home in Washington, D.C., formerly of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
He was a member of American Legion Post 320 and Hebron Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in August of 1964, after 21 years of service. He served during World War II.
He is survived by his sisters, Doris Pennington and Kathleen Davis, both of Spotsylvania and Margaret Arnold of Stafford County and his brothers, Joe and Earl Acors of Spotsylvania.
He was the son to the late Morris and Sally Acors. He also was precceded in death by two brothers, Emmitt and John Acors.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at the funeral chapel with the Pastor Bob Ellinger officiating. Interment will follow in Mine Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
