Jacqueline Hester's Obituary
Mrs. Jacqueline Hester, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday April 15, 2025 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her children by her side.
Jackie, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on June 22, 1948. She was a longtime resident of Lakewood, NJ, later moving to Fredericksburg, VA after retiring from Fort Monmouth as a Logistics Management Specialist with over 30 years of service. She loved crafting, watching movies and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome E. Hester, Sr.; both of her parents, William and Mayfree Hagerman; and sister Beverly Beauford.
She is survived by her children, Bridget Hester and Rodney Gregory of New Jersey, Jerome E. Hester Jr., and his wife Laura Hester of Oregon, Nicole Taylor and her husband Cody Taylor of Virginia, and her grandchildren Elijah, Benjamin and Anna. She has three siblings: Irene Johnson of Delaware, Qadree A. Hameed (William Hagerman Jr.) and his wife Patricia Hagerman of New Jersey and Deborah Ramsey and her husband Daryn Ramsey of Maryland as well as two godchildren, Bill Johnson Jr. and Lisa Walls and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Beloved by everyone who met her and remembered for her beautiful smile, Jackie will be missed and celebrated as she takes her place amongst those who have gone before her and welcome her home with her Heavenly Father.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
