Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Fullerton's Obituary
Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Fullerton, age 80, of Arlington, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was born in New Rochelle, NY on May 21, 1931 to the late Leon V. O’Reilly and Margaret M. Martin O’Reilly. Jackie moved to Arlington after high school and completed her education. She then began her career as a computer programmer, having retired with over 20 years of service to the Dept. of the Army and the Dept. of the Treasury. After retirement from Federal service, she developed her passion for art into a career. Jackie became a well known artist and worked in many mediums with her favorites being pastels and pen and ink. Her works were featured in many galleries including the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. She enjoyed traveling frequently and studied art at Oxford University in England for some time. Jackie created private portraits for people and their pets and was known for her custom cards that she loved to make. She was a longtime member of The Cathedral of St. Thomas Moore in Arlington and St. Anthony’s Parish in Falls Church. Survivors include her four sons, James T. Fullerton, Jr., Jon A. Fullerton, Jeffrey L. Fullerton and wife Sherry, and Joseph R. Fullerton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Miriam O’Reilly Flatt in 2003.
