Jackie Thorene Rutherford, Sr.'s Obituary
Jackie Thorene Rutherford, Sr., 77, of Rixeyville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 30, 1940 in Rappahannock to the late Harry and Esther Dodson Rutherford.
Mr. Rutherford was the Pastor at Wonderful Lighthouse Worship Center in Sperryville.
He is survived by four children, Jackie T. Rutherford, Jr., Melissa Yancey, Barbara Henderson and her husband, Henri, and Ashley Goode and her husband, David; daughter-in-law, Tammy Rutherford; six siblings; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Rutherford; one son, Rickie Rutherford, Sr.; one grandson, Rickie Rutherford, Jr.; and one brother, William “Bill” Rutherford.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Rutherford, Jr., David Goode, Henri Henderson, Mel Compton, Garrick Rutherford and John Goode. Honorary pallbearer will be Maximas Henderson.
