Jack Clark Geil's Obituary
Jack Clark Geil, 81, of Elkwood, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at his residence. He was born on February 14, 1926 in Montana to the late Jacob and Elsie Clark Geil.
Mr. Geil was a United States Navy veteran and served his country during World War II. IN his later years, he became a mechanic and worked at several shops. He enjoyed mechanic work and could always be found toiling around with his lawn mowers, weed-eaters, saws or small engines. He was a good father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his son, Gary Clark Geil and his wife, Mary of Fredericksburg, two sisters, Laura Cline and Ruth Brown, one brother, Tommy Geil, and three grandchildren, Christopher Geil, Jeremy Geil, and Michael Geil.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Allen Geil.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marianne Buscher officiating.
Interment will be held in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donald Corder, Richard Dwyer, Kevin Myers, Doug Fincham, George Helfin and Carl Settle.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Geil’s name to Richardsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, 29361 Eley’s Ford Rd. Richardsville, VA 22736 and/or Hopewell United Methodist Church, 23557 Germanna Hwy Lignum, VA 22726.
