Jack Junior Rittenour's Obituary
Jack Junior Rittenour, 85, formerly of Fredericksburg passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Franklin Woods Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Jack served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Marshall Islands. He retired from the Federal Government U.S. Treasury Bureau of Printing and Engraving with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by six sons, Jack Robert Rittenour and his wife, Mary Ann of Baltimore, MD, Allen Lee Rittenour and his wife, Monique of Ottawa, Canada, John William Rittenour and his wife, Colette of Kansas City, Samuel Matthew Rittenour and James Edward Rittenour and his wife, Beth, all of Fredericksburg and his special son, Samuel Matthew, Jr. "Little Sam"; two daughters, Anita Louise Kyle and her husband, Kenneth of Baltimore and Virginia Ann Harris and her husband, George of Edgewood, MD; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Rittenour and a son, Earl Thomas Belford.
Jack’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service celebrating Jack’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the funeral chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery.
