Jack Camp's Obituary
Jack Henry Camp, 80, of Stafford County died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Potomac Hospital.
He was born in Charlotte, NC. He was a veteran of the US Army. He taught English at Grace Prepatory School in Stafford and started his career of 50 years in Oak City, NC and has been teaching ever since.
Jack is survived by his wife of 15 years, Aila; special cousins, Betty McElroy and her family, Judith Camp and her daughters, Elizabeth Hardiman and her family, all of Atlanta, GA, Rance and Nancy Adams and their families of Houston, TX; his father and mother-in-law, Ed and Mary Lowney of Butte Montana; his brothers and sisters-in-law and their families; many other extended family members; all of his special students and friends especially Jim Gallahan and his dog, Max.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. William of York Catholic Church with Father David Meng officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte, NC.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a school scholarship fund or choice.
