Jack Brascher's Obituary
John Jack Brascher, 81, of Mineral died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at his home.
Jack was born in New York in the late Harry and May Brascher. He retired from the Marines after 26 years serving in three wars. He survived three bouts with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, June Brascher; five children, Donna Musselman, Matt Brascher, John Brascher, Jr., June Williams and Opal Holloway; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kelsey, his nurse.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2007 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Greg Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Memorial Park, Mineral, VA.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
