Iva Virginia McKenney's Obituary
Iva Virginia (Jennie) McKenney, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Center in Warrenton, VA.
Iva was born on August 20, 1939, in Fairfax, Virginia to the late Otha Burton and Dorothy Burton.
Iva loved going to Charles Town to gamble, playing bing,o and fishing with Clarence. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Iva is survived by her four children, Pamela Street (Willie), Bruce Chapman (Brenda), Timothy Chapman (Sheila) and Patricia Scott (Robbie); eight grandchildren, Holly Street (Travis), Shasta Jenkins (Steve), Bruce Chapman, Jr. (Ardenia), Brandon Chapman (Heather), Ashton Hott (Dustin), Robbie Scott, Jr. (Sierra), Alex Mata and Tammy Clayborn; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Brooke House, Peighton Lawhorne, Michael Street, Bryce Boggs, Tucker Mata, Callie Oliver, Kollin Jenkins, Devin Jenkins, Shalea Williams, Camille Clayton, Cameron Clayton, Saniah Tates, Asia Chapman, Alivia Chapman, Serenity Chapman, Cassidy Chapman, Chloe Chapman, Chelsea Chapman, Derrick Hott, Carson Hott, Carter Hott and Andrew Hott; siblings, Junior Burton, Billy Burton and Diane Rice; a host of nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Iva was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Clarence McKenney, Jr.; two granddaughters, Karaline Chapman and Brandi Street; and siblings, Sylvia Ferrell, Susie Koehne, and Debbie Rood.
A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Culpeper National Cemetery, New Section, 501 East Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA.
