Isaac Nathan Keen's Obituary
Isaac Nathan Keen, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Broad Run, VA on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born September 12, 1922 in West Virginia to the late Edward and Alminta Drake Keen.
Isaac was a proud World War II veteran who served in the US Navy and was a Purple Heart recipient. After the war, Isaac married Anna Lea Brewer, from Rhonda, WV and began his life as a family man and eventually a business man. An energetic entepreneur, Isaac was a founder of ProType Industries and Circle K, Inc, both based in Sterling, VA. After retirement, he made his home in Rixeyville, VA and was a member of the Oak Shade United Methodist Church. Isaac was a beloved father and grandfather, a good man from The Greatest Generation. He will be missed.
He is survived by four children, Nancy Lacotti and her husband, Larry, Carol Hanna and her husband, Robert, Nathan Keen and his wife, Karen, and Cathy Monahan and her husband, Howard; 6 grandchildren, Anne Marie Yenche, Michael Hanna, Michael Monahan, David Hanna, Callye Keen and Noah Keen; and ten great grandchildren. In 2017, he was to become a great great grandfather for the first time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lea Brewer Keen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Oak Shade United Methodist Church, 9906 Rixeyville Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737.
