Irvin Corbin, Jr.'s Obituary
Irvin Corbin, Jr., 73 of Culpeper, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at his residence. He was born on October 2, 1933 in Rappahannock County to the late Irvin Madison Corbin, Sr. and Ruth Woodard Corbin.
Mr. Corbin served his country in the United States Marine Corp and fought in the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of Black Oak Regular Baptist Church, VFW Post 2524, and the National Rifle Association. He loved the water and took great pleasure in boating. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Foster Corbin of Culpeper, and his children, Darryl Corbin and his wife, Mary of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, Brad Corbin and his wife, Debbie, Mike Corbin and his wife Janice and Jeff Corbin and his wife, Renee all of Fredericksburg.
Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two very close cousins, Murphy Reid and Shirley Foster and the mother of his children, Deloris E. Corbin.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 7-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Perry Forrester officiating.
Interment will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Settle, Chris Foster, John Mongold, Justin Corbin, Mike Corbin, Murphy Reid, Hank H.R. Henderson and Jeff Corbin.
Donations may be made in Mr. Corbin's name to Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Suite 2320 Culpeper, VA 22701.
