Irma Melva Perryman's Obituary
Irma “Mel” Perryman of Culpeper went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 9th at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on May 28, 1946 (she never let you forget her birthday) to the late Willie and Edith Perryman.
Mel was raised on a farm in Culpeper. She had a child-like heart. She loved farm animals, especially chickens. Her hobbies included feeding squirrels, making beaded jewelry and she loved going to church.
Mel was a born again Christian. She professed, “I walk with Jesus.” She knew without a doubt she was going to heaven. Mel will always be alive in our hearts.
She is survived by her brothers Douglas of Mechanicsville, VA, Elmer of Culpeper, Tommy and his wife Phyllis of Orange, VA. She is also survived by her devoted sister Gerri Boone and her spouse Waymon of Culpeper, sisters, Esther Dodson and her spouse Steve of Culpeper, Ruby Dean of Culpeper, Ruth Perryman and her significant other Donald William of Maryland.
She is preceded in death by her sister Audrey Furr and four brothers, Charles, Johnny, Andy and Ricky.
Family will receive friends to share a meal and memories on November 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Jeffersonton Ruritan Club, 5073 Jeffersonton Rd., Jeffersonton, VA 22724. A covered dish is welcome.
