Irene J. Smith's Obituary
Irene J. Smith, 77 of Culpeper passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital with her son at her side. She was a caring, loving, wonderful mother, sister and Godmother. She was born April 30, 1931 in Sperryville to the late Harry and Vinie Jenkins.
She is survived by her son, David Smith, two sisters, Liz Rider and Roberta Mac Donald, two brothers, Junior Jenkins and Johnny Jenkins, one God daughter, Janet Bennett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Smith, and one son, Harry Smith.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Pastor Sandy Martin officiating.
