Irene was a special quilting friend for many years...sweet, kind, and always wearing a smile. I often told her that she reminded me very much of my own mother!
I was deeply saddened to learn that she has passed away. She was truly a wonderful lady!

So many memories of my great-aunt Irene! Her thoughtfulness and gentleness, her passion for educating us little ones about the beauty of God's creation (mostly regarding insects ;-), times spent together with Uncle Arthur at their house, at the farm...her broad smile, the faith shared. Praise God for His saving grace that frees our soul to rest and rejoice in the Lord forever!
Jim - I only met your mother Irene once at a Scout function (Eagle COH I believe) and I'm sorry I didn't know her better as she certainly came across as a very special lady. I know she was very special to you and I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace and strength in this time of grief.

Irene was as special friend and P.E.O. sister. I treasure the quilts she made me through the years; especially the beautiful seven sisters quilt. Her quick wit and loving ways radiated from her at all times. Rest in peace sweet lady. Love to all her Cool and Kuykendall family.
Ms.Irene it was pleasure getting to meet you an care for you in a short time period. I enjoyed our time together watching tennis I never really had interest in tennis but I do now thanks to you.
