Irene M. Frazier's Obituary
Irene Frazier, 96, of Luray formerly of Sperryville passed away on December 5, 2014 at Montvue Nursing Home in Luray. Irene was born on October 19, 1918 to the late George Alther and Lillian Clatterbuck Alther of Sperryville, VA.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wade Amos Frazier. Irene was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, daughters Elizabeth Mae Smoot and husband Charles Smoot of Washington, VA, Margaret Jean Cornwell and husband Roger Cornwell of Manassas, VA, sons Wade Frazier and wife Rosie of Washington, Eddie Lee “Tiger” Frazier and wife Mary Ann of Washington, VA.
She is survived by a sister, Nellie Alther and a brother, Roy Alther of Sperryville, Virginia. Ms. Frazier was predeceased by four siblings, Alice Ralls, Levi Alther, John Alther, and George W. Alther. Irene is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2:00PM at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel 850 Sperryville Pike in Culpeper, VA officiated by Pastor Joel Cress. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Wade Frazier, Jr., Charles Smoot, Jr., Steven Frazier, Matthew Ricketts, Chad Frazier, and Mike Ricketts.
