Imogene Aretha Turner Frazier's Obituary
Imogene Turner Frazier, 69, of Madison County went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 3, 2007. She was one of thirteen siblings born to the late James “Tom” Turner, Sr. and Gertrude Price Turner.
Imogene attended public school in Madison and Rapidan, VA. She later worked for the Madison County school system serving as a P.E. Teacher and later becoming a nurse. Under the leadership of Rev. Chass Gibbs, she joined the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age, and then later became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served until her health failed. She enjoyed playing the piano and planting flowers. Imogene was a very loving and giving person whose life was enriched by friendship.
Left to cherish her memories is her loving and devoted family, four children, Frecia Dugan and her husband, Danny, Wyarnette Frazier and her friend, Gilbert, Rebecca Taylor and her friend, Mark, and Charles Frazier and his wife, Monique, a very devoted friend, Lury Frazier and Audrey White, three brothers, Frank, Carroll, and William Turner, six sisters, Lillian Holly, Edith Roebuck, Geraldine Ward, Frances Frye, Carolyn Haywood and Bessie Rollins.
Additional survivors include six sisters-in-law, Marie, Shirley, Betty, Gladys, Rose and Brenda Turner, five brothers-in-law, Henry Holly, Ulysses Roebuck, Alcy Ward, Ronald Haywood, and Glenn Rollins, eight grandchildren, Edwarren Frazier and his fiance, Danielle, Quieriston, Louis, Brittany, and Henry Taylor, Dominique and Carrington Frazier, Cameron Dugan, eighteen nieces, eighteen nephews, , her dog “Misty” and many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Frazier, one son-in-law, Lamonte Taylor, and three brothers, James “Billy” Jr., Charles and Donald Turner.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Gardner officiating.
Interment will follow in Antioch Gordon Cemetery in Madison.
Pallbearers will be Trone Frye, Richard Turner, James Lewis, Darrell Frye, Charles Turner, and Vincent Turner. Honorary pallbearer will be Ivan Turner.
