Hunter Daniel Payne's Obituary
Hunter Daniel Payne, 16, of Locust Grove died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He was born January 6, 1991 to Daniel E. Payne and Sarah Payne.
Hunter was a 10th grader at Culpeper County High School and was an avid skateboarder, a wonderful son, brother, and friend to many. He was an organ donor, and as such, his life will save the lives of many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kristen Kendall Payne, his brother, John Hamilton Payne, two half brothers, Adam Nichols Payne and Nathan Daniel Payne, his paternal grandmother, Ora Lee Payne, his step mother, Jacqueline Payne, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles Venable Payne Sr. and Audrey Estelle Huffman Payne, and paternal grandfather, Fred Lee Payne.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Howie Holmes and Pastor Ryan Flanders officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Payne, Dan Wood, Davis Wood, Maximillion Engel, Blake Scott, and DeWayne Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Cary Payne, Edward Payne and Donald Marsh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hunter’s name to SCOOP (Skate Culpeper On Our Park), c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
