Hughie Stanley Meredith's Obituary
Hughie Stanley Meredith, 84, of Woodville, VA died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at NOVANT Health UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born October 17, 1937 in Lee County, VA to the late Edward and Mabel Meredith.
Hughie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Faye Meredith, his children; William David Meredith (Frances), Catherine Lee Crickenberger (Ike), Charles Richard Meredith, Donald Ray Meredith, Susan Jane Putnam (Ronnie), and Daniel Edward Meredith (Peggy), 16 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include his brothers, Bobby Meredith (Linda) and Nicky Meredith (Judy), his sister in law Betty Meredith, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends October 27, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Tim Atkins officiating.
Pallbearers are Hughie’s grandsons; Travis Crickenberger, Justin Purgason, Adam Meredith, Nathan Harrison, Andrew Gordon, Dave Meredith, Bryan Harrison, and Shane Meredith.
Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery.
