Hubert Jenkins' Obituary
Hubert Lee Jenkins, 86, of Remington died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 2, 1924 in Sperryville, VA to the late Hubert Egbert and Lillie Estelle Sisk Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the US Army from February 24, 1943 to January 12, 1946. He served his country during WWII and received the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Ribbon.
He is survived by his daughter, Vivian (Jeanie) Weaver of Bealeton, two grandchildren, Michelle Leigh Weaver of Culpeper and Ronald Lee (RJ) Weaver, Jr. of Bealeton, one great granddaughter, Susan Michelle Weaver of Culpeper, three siblings, Roger (G.B.) Jenkins and his wife, Virginia (Peachie) of Gaithersburg, MD, Margie Haught of Elkwood and Phyllis Ford of Culpeper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Beulah Mae Furr and her husband, William (John) Furr, Ruth Embrey, Edna Jenkins, Carroll Jenkins, James Jenkins and Charles Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.
Interment will follow in Remington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benny Adams, Buddy Whitmer, Buddy Shumaker, Richard Jenkins, Ronnie Frazier and Jr. Dodson. Honorary pallbearers will be R.J. Weaver and Robbie Whitmer.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is handling the arrangements.
