Howard Sullivan's Obituary
Howard Lee Sullivan, 82, of Stafford County passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Howard was born in Stafford County to the late Clarence and Agnes Sullivan. He was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II; was a member of American Legion Post 290; and he worked for the FMC plant for 30 years. And after it closed, he worked for the U.S. Department of Interior.
Howard enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and birds. He also enjoyed watching high school, college and professional basketball and football. He loved going to Captain Billy’s Restaurant in Popes Creek, Maryland.
He is survived by a sister, Virginia S. McGregor of Center Point, AL; a nephew, Billy Rupprecht and a niece, Peggy Stone, both of whom he helped raise, Peggy’s husband, Jesse Stone and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Howard’s family welcomes you to celebrate his life during a memorial gathering with refreshments Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
