Howard Reed's Obituary
Howard Herman Reed, 80 of Stafford County, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.
Howard served in the United States Army and then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years as a sales manager until his retirement. He also enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by a daughter, Karla Gilason of Stafford; a son, Timothy J. Reed of Woodridge, Illinois; four brothers; Frank Reed, Jr. of Iowa, Walter and Maurice Reed, both of Illinois and Donald Reed of Texas; a sister, Eleanor Menke of Iowa; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Howard’s family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407. A memorial service celebrating Howard’s life will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral chapel.
Donations may be made in Howard’s memory to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
