Hilda Ruth Marshall's Obituary
Hilda Ruth Marshall, 84, of Culpeper, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 18, 1922 in Boston, Va to the late Harry Clifford and Ruth Nethers Petty Lillard.
Mrs. Marshall was a lifetime member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and attended Culpeper Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and was an award winning cook. She had many of her recipes published in the Southern Living Magazines and the Annual Cookbook.
She is survived by her children, Charles Terry Marshall and his wife, Brenda of Unionville, Debora Marshall Wilmot and her husband, John of Bealeton, four grandchildren, Matthew Brian Marshall and his wife, Crystal of Orange, Ashley Suzanne Keys and her husband, Matthew of Culpeper, Angela Wilmot Hull and her husband, Glenn of Azle, Tx, and James Doyle Wilmot of Azle, Tx.
Additional survivors include four great-grandchildren; Hunter Carder Keys, Claire-Faith Elizabeth Keys, Hannah Suzanne Keys, Johnathan Grant Marshall, two nieces; Linda Hawkins of Virginia Beach and Sharon Simms and her husband Randy of Boston, Va and one great-niece; Amanda Simms also of Boston, Va and a host of other extended family and friends including her very close friend, Gladys Williams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Doyle Marshall, her brother, Clifford Reid Lillard, and her sister, Hazel Lillard Hawkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ted Fuson officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
