Henry Wilson (Dick) Jenkins' Obituary
Henry Wilson “Dick” Jenkins, 71, of Castleton died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born January 13, 1938 in Rappahannock to the late James Henry and Emma Mary Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was an avid farmer and took great pride in his cattle. He worked for the Culpeper Farmers Co-Op for over 21 years and was owner of Jenkins Fencing Service.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Mae Fincham Jenkins, one son, Wendal Alan Jenkins and his wife, Debra Kay, three brothers, James William Jenkins of Copperas Cove, TX, John Davis Jenkins of Warrenton, Charles Melvin Jenkins of Castleton and four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Gant of Berryville, Gladys Gay Bawkey of Manassas, Ruby Mae Mastin of Culpeper and Catherine Marie Ford of Orange.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Brad Thomas Weaver and Ashley Michelle Tecu, and three great grandchildren, Luke Thomas Weaver, Gavin Michael Weaver and Peytyn Marie Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Robert Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeffery A. Shifflett, Rev. Wayne Yowell, Rev. Bobby Jenkins and Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.
Interment will follow in Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Durrall Miller, Michael Jenkins, Ronnie Jenkins, Jerry William, Mitch Terry, Leslie Terry, Wayne Oldaker and Johnny Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Philip Kyser, Jr., Dr. Walter B. Kilby and Charlie Pilkington.
