Henry Howard Fortune's Obituary
Henry Howard Fortune, 61, of Culpeper died Monday, February 9, 2009 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1947 in Mitchells, VA to the late Maceo and Hattie Morgan Fortune.
Mr. Fortune was a loyal Chicago Bears fan and an avid card player. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Stewart Fortune, two children, Leslie Denise Fortune of St. Petersburg, FL and Jason Howard Fortune and his wife, Navine of Virginia Beach, VA, two brothers, Ernest Fortune of Culpeper and Eugene Fortune of Frederick, MD and four sisters, Mary Parrish of Washington, D.C., Ernestine Johnson, Helen Fortune and Blanche Fortune, all of Maryland.
Additional survivors include one grandson, Jason Anthony Fortune, two special nephews, Michael and Marc Lee, four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Ray Jackson officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
