Henry Johnson, Jr.'s Obituary
Henry Johnson, Jr., 73, of Culpeper died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 2, 1936 in Culpeper to the late Henry Johnson, Sr. and Minnie Frye Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Culpeper, employed through the Culpeper County Schools and was a farmer for many years. He was well known throughout the community for his generosity and kindness towards others regards to what task or job was needed to be done, he did it with lots of passion and pride. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Bernice Wood and her husband, Joseph of Charlottesville, Henry Johnson, III and his wife, Jennifer of Fredericksburg, Donnie Johnson and his wife, Trisha of Unionville, Linda Fisher and her husband, Clide of Culpeper, Robert Johnson of Culpeper, Teresa Orange and her husband, George of Culpeper, one stepson, Charles Gibbs and his wife, Anne of Fredericksburg, and two stepdaughters, Deloris Lee of Madison and Janice Turner and her husband, Robert of Lenexa, KS.
He is also survived by one sister, Bernice King and husband, Melvin, two brothers, Arthur and Early Johnson, both of Culpeper, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He also leaves two special friends, Kenney Lillard and Brenda Jenkins.
The family of Mr. Johnson would like to thank the University of Virginia Cardiology Department, Continuum Home Health and Family Care Home Health and Hospice for the special care that was provided to our father.
