Sincere condolences to Mrs Wood, HB III and family from Ann Oliver Cheek and family
Love and prayers for the family, great man over the years I knew him.
Deepest Sympathies to Betty and the entire Wood family
I never met or had any contact with Mr. Wood or his family, but as a distant cousin through the Updike family, and the one who is updating the Updike genealogy and heads up our annual reunion fourth Sunday each July in Bentonville, I extend my condolences to Mr. Wood's family. I'm glad to know he and numerous other Updike relatives have made Rappahannock one of my favorite counties in the state through their proud management of family farms, and because of that, I subscribe to the Sperryville Facebook site even though I never lived in the area. If any of his family are interested in the genealogy and/or the reunion, feel free to contact me at [email protected].
Deepest sympathies for this great loss.
Betty and Family I am so sorry to hear of HB's passing! I am thinking of you during this difficult time. I have so many good memories of family vacations hanging at Bain-Bains and running around on the mountain. If I could I would be there with you all this week but know I'm there in spirit. I always loved his laugh and smile.
Love Pamela May
So sorry for your loss H.B. Your daddy sounds like a great man and he raised a fine son! Our prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.
Such fond childhood memories with HB and Betty. They were so special to our family and these two will always hold a wonderful place in my heart. They were there for us in the good times and bad. I will always cherish my precious memories of them both. May you rest in peace my dear friend and may God give strength to Betty and the family. You all will remain in my heart forever.
