Helen Marie Ford's Obituary
Helen Marie Ford, 71, was born November 19, 1951, in Culpeper, Virginia to James A. Newman and Lillie Mae Brown Newman. She departed this life on June 19, 2023.
She attended Culpeper County Schools and went on to work for several companies in the Culpeper area. Helen enjoyed playing softball as a child. In her adulthood, she loved to talk, go shopping, listen to music, doing word search puzzles, and she was always looking for a new hat to add to her collection.
Helen spent many of her years babysitting for a countless number of children. She held a couple families very close to her heart, and considered those children like grandkids.
Helen leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Dana R. Ford of Culpeper; two daughters, Jennifer L. Newman and Shariece L. Greene both of Culpeper; four sisters, Catherine Drumgoole (Wesley), Ruby Bannister, Hazel Newman, Christine Hackley, and Brenda Newman all of Culpeper; two brothers; James (Buck) Newman of California and George Newman of Stone Mountain, GA; two very special grand-dogs Rocky and Sunny; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Lillie Newman; two brothers Charles(Peter) Newman and Terry L. Newman; four sisters Mary L. Lane, Shirley Newman, Grace A. Newman, and Dorothy Newman Davis.
A viewing service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
