Hazel Frances Hamm Delph's Obituary
Hazel Frances Hamm Delph, 86, of Culpeper died on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1922 in Culpeper, VA to the late Frank and Beulah Tutwiler McFarland.
Mrs. Delph was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for many years. She retired from Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community after 10 years of service. She loved gardening and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Delma Hamm, Jr. and his wife, Sally of Monroe Bay, VA, Virginia Fincham and her husband, Raymond of Rixeyville, VA, Robert Hamm and his friend, Penny of Culpeper, James Hamm and his wife, Lecial of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include her sister, Dorothy Walley of Wilmington, DE, devoted ex-daughter-in-law, Sue Hamm, sister-in-law, Betty McFarland, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Delma Hamm, Sr., daughter, Frances Ann Dodson, son, Ronnie Hamm, her sister, Genevieve Chandler and her brother, William McFarland.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Richards officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hamm, Jr., Harvey Tharpe, John Dodson, David Hamm, Jerry Mandley, and Ed Shaw.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Black Oak Regular Baptist Church, 426 Jenkins Avenue, Culpeper VA 22701.
