A Life of Grace: For Hazel Peek O’Toole
With hands so gentle, heart so true,
A soul that shone in golden hue,
Hazel walked with faith so bright,
A beacon of God’s endless light.
Through love and duty, side by side,
With Bert she built a life with pride.
Seventy-one years, hand in hand,
A testament to love so grand.
A mother’s touch, a guiding hand,
Through children’s dreams and life’s demand.
From Montfort days to grandkids’ cheer,
Her love remained both strong and clear.
In sacred hymns her voice would rise,
A faithful song that touched the skies.
Through silent prayer and quiet grace,
She found her peace in holy space.
With open arms, she welcomed all,
No heart too big, no soul too small.
Her kindness stood—a lesson true—
Of love that heals, of faith that grew.
To those who judged, she bore no strife,
She lived the Word in daily life.
For in her heart, she understood,
That love must guide, as Jesus would.
And now she rests in heaven’s glow,
Beyond the pain, beyond the woe.
But in our hearts, she still will stay,
A light to guide us on our way.
She wished to see one hundred years,
To share more laughter, love, and cheers.
Though time fell short, her grace lives on,
In every heart she smiled upon.
Though sorrow lingers, love remains,
In memories sweet, in faith sustained.
From Ruthan and Robin, with hearts sincere,
We honor Hazel, always near.
