It's been many years since the boy's were together at St. Luke's, but we absolutely adored your family and you've always held a special place in our heart. Jace is just heart broken. I taught Carter and Lee at St. Luke's School. I just was told of his passing, CarolAnn, Bill and Lee. You all are a sweet memory of our time together and the boys are both so precious. I am sending you prayers and love during this difficult phase. Although neither Lee nor Carter wanted to be artists, they did some fun art there at STL. I remember sparkly blue eyes and sweet toothy smiles. Grateful he came to the planet. I know many lives were blessed by him. Love each other.-Michelle

Mr. and Mrs. Cole,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers on the death of your son, Carter. I cannot begin to imagine the pain and grief you are experiencing at this time.
We have never met, but my son is a junior at HS-C and was also one of Carter's AXE 'brothers'. Carter was very well regarded, respected, and liked. His death has had a profound impact not only on his brothers of AXE, but on the HS-C community as well.

Please know that there are many of us out here who are lifting Carter and your family in prayer. There are no words to say, but I hope that in some way you can feel the loving arms that are surrounding you and holding you up. May God grant you a peaceful spirit as you continue to grieve and to remember what a wonderful gift you had with Cole.

I am so very sorry about your son's sudden death. I do not know you or your family, but my son is a junior at HS-C, and is an RA in another dorm. As part of the "HS-C family" I have wanted you to know how much this sad news has affected me, my husband, and our son.
I have a friend from Texas whose son is a freshman there, knew your son and who was quite shaken from losing his friend.
In many ways,I can only imagine your pain, shock, and disbelief. I truly pray for your family and hope that in time you can find God's Love and Comfort.
Your son touched many lives at the school. Hampden-Sydney has been the "making" for our son. It has helped him grow in so many ways. I Imagine your son loved it too.

Our hearts hurt so bad. Carter was an amazing nephew and we could see how he was forming his life in an amazing way to be an asset to this world. He always had a smile on his face and what a cute smile it was. Seeing him there with out that smile means his beautiful soul is now in heaven walking with our Lord and Savior. Your now a angel and I believe that you are watching over our family now.
Dear Lord, please give comfort to all that are grieving this loss. Please help to patch up this hole that we all now have.

I didn't know Carter very well, but I didn't need to to be able to tell that he was an outstanding young man from a great family. I loved to watch him glide through the water at CCHS swim meets, making it look effortless. He was always so humble when I'd congratulate him on a first place finish or a new state time. My heart goes out to his family. You have my deepest sympathy. May the Lord give you strength and comfort during this tragic time.

I didn't know your son, but my sons went to school with him. They were devastated to hear of his passing and I can't imagine what you are going through but remember that things happen for a reason and we don't understand why. My children lost their dad 6yrs ago instantly and it was devastating to our family but we have never gotten over it but have learned to accept it as it is a plan of what is to come. I think your son set many great standards for young teens to live by. I think we tend not to express the great things these kids do in their young lives but always seem to stress the bad things they do. I think you did an awesome job raising your son and he was an awesome child. My he soar high up above you, your family, and his friends and watch over you and one day you will reunite with him and forever be together. May God bless you and your family.
