Harold Dean Whitehead's Obituary
Harold Dean Whitehead, 86, of Culpeper passed away peacefully at his home April 3, 2019. He was born to the late Johnnie Lee and Nettie Roberts Whitehead on January 31, 1933 in Columbia, TN.
Upon graduating from Tennessee Tech, Harold was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served honorably for 2 years. He then resumed his position of Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent Office. Harold enjoyed his retirement years in rural Culpeper. He was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church.
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean; three sons, Scott Whitehead and wife, Kimberlee of Culpeper, John Whitehead and wife, Brenda of Ashburn, and Mark of Long Beach, CA.
He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren and one great grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA with Pastor Dan Carlton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to the Culpeper Baptist Church Building Fund in Harold’s name, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA, 22701.
