Harold Scoggin's Obituary
Harold Scoggin, 84, of Washington, VA died on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Winchester Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1924 in Spindale, NC to the late Nathan Scoggin and Ina Allen Scoggin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Merle Scoggin and his son, Bill Scoggin of Washington, VA. He is also survived by two brothers, Vance Scoggin of Plainview, TX and Roy Scoggin of Willis, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Pickard.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Washington Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (NEW) with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
