Gordon Wayne Thomas' Obituary
Gordon Wayne Thomas, 83, of Culpeper, VA entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2025.
Born in Buffalo, NY on June 16, 1941, he spent his entire adult life in the construction industry. When work slowed down in the north, he and his brother, Bob, moved their families south to Culpeper to continue their careers where most recently he would be celebrating a 22 year career with Jefferson Home Builders. He worked in construction for over 60 years.
Gordon loved anything woodworking, and when not working, he could be found in his shop or in his office drawing home plans. Above all, the love for his wife, Pat, was indescribable.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Thomas; three daughters, Lisa Faulconer (Rob), Lori Cropp, and Jenn Pickering (Jeff); nine grandchildren, Brittany Jenkins, Cody Jenkins (Brittany), Nathan Cropp (Brittany), Jordan Cropp, Jared Cropp, Cameron Cropp, Madison Cropp, Jase Pickering, and Kove Pickering; six great-grandchildren, Isaiah Fox, Iyla Fox, Chloe Jenkins, Liam Jenkins, Tristen Cropp, and MacKenzie Cropp; two siblings, Patrica Hachten and Bob Thomas; and a host of extended family and friends.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Winifred Thomas; one sister, Geraldine Moran; and his son-in-law, Daniel Cropp.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Damon Myers officiating.
