Gordon Deen Bell's Obituary
Gordon Deen Bell, 73, of Spotsylvania County, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Gordon was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served his country faithfully. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Combat Infantryman Badge, One Overseas Service Bar, Expert Badge with Bars (81 mm; Pistol, M-16 Rifle), and Purple Heart for his service.
Gordon is survived by his niece, Catherine Bell (James); great niece, Celes St. Clair; and sister-in-law, Sandra Bell Hooks.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to your local animal shelter.
