I meet Mr. Monaysar (Dad) as I called him 44 years ago. He invited me into his home sometimes unwillingly for I had many questions for him. Like is that playhouse in the backyard for sale? This was asked every weekend. What’s that smell coming from your house? Which is now my favorite dish and my children favorite curry anything? And is English your second language? He taught me a lot to be strong and kind to others that might look different but really are the same. He often ask why I wasn't afraid of him like Nadia's other friends I told him because you like me the best don’t you Dad. He said why yes I do. I made him smile and laugh out loud I am not sure why all I knew is he made me fell welcome and comfortable in his home. I am honor to have known a man like him. I'll miss you Dad. Your friend down the street Phyllis Hawley
