Gloria L. Minter
Gloria L. Minter, 80, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully at Hughes Home on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, with her family by her side.
A native of Fredericksburg, she was the youngest child of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Jones.
She is survived by two children: a daughter, Kathi Mason and her husband, Jay, of Spotsylvania County, and a son, Ronnie Minter, also of Spotsylvania; two brothers, Benjamin Jones and Thomas Jones of Fredericksburg; a sister, June George of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Willie R. Minter.
Mrs. Minter became a resident of Hughes Home in 2006. She also leaves behind an extended family of residents and staff who made the final years of her life happy ones. The family of Mrs. Minter would like to extend their deepest and heartfelt thanks to all the kind and compassionate staff of Mary Washington Hospice and Hughes Home who cared for her while she was a resident there.
