Gloria Faye Cash Heishman's Obituary
Gloria Faye Cash Heishman, 72, of Nelson County, was reunited in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved, her parents; sister, Hazel; and brother, Wayne.
Everyone who had ever met Faye knew that she gave the best hugs. She never met a stranger. Faye knew only one speed – slow and easy. She was never one to rush life. She enjoyed every minute of it.
Faye loved God, her church, and Pastor Booth. She loved to sing and had the most amazing voice. One of her favorite songs was Amazing Grace. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone in her life. Some of her favorite things to make included her homemade carrot cake and biscuits.
Faye was blessed with one daughter, Shawndra, who meant the absolute world to her. She was blessed with many other children in her life that she enjoyed spending time with as well and cared for them as her own.
Faye’s father owned a campground in Nelson County where Faye spent much of her time. Her love for camping continued with her best friend, Melissa Sullivan, on the James River. They spent many days together at the camper relaxing in the sunshine with their dogs, Baby and Lovie. It was Faye’s refuge – her happy place.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Shawndra Fisher of Staunton; and many other friends and family members who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Mallie Cash; her sister, Hazel; and brother, Wayne.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the James River in Scottsville, VA.
