Glenna Michelle Kelly's Obituary
It is with great sadness to share that Glenna Michelle Kelly of Spotsylvania, Virginia passed away on September 15, 2023 at the age of 72. Glenna was born April 4, 1951 in Havre de Grace, Maryland to Glenn Raymond Kelly and Eva Irene Nelson Kelly.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Michelle Patton Swisher (Chris) and Justin Michael Patton. Her grandchildren who adored her; Alex (Natalie), Derek (Isabella), Mark, and Ethan Asimacopoulos; Abby White; Kyleigh, Colton, Marley, Kingston, and Emma Patton. Glenna is survived by her sister, Tana (Dayle) Mauck, her brother Michael (Laura) Kelly, and her step-brothers Ronnie Johnson, Kevin (Ann) Johnson, and Eddie Johnson. She is survived by her step-mother Loretta Kelly. Glenna is survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Glenna grew up in Aberdeen, Maryland and graduated from Aberdeen High School. Glenna served as a military wife to her ex-husband, Michael Patton. She was a homemaker who found great joy in celebrating Christmas. Her home was on the parade of homes in Ft. Ritchie, Maryland due to her exceptional Christmas decorating. Glenna enjoyed crafting, spending time with family, and most of all enjoying time at the beach.
In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her grandson, Gavin Patton, and her sister, Kathy Kelly.
A celebration of life ceremony celebrating Glenna will be held October 8, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm at Fox Point Community Center, 6120 Blackstone Blvd. Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Glenna’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America (lupus.org).
